My Woodstock #Pawpawty Memwours

August 28/29 was the Woodstock #pawpawty. If you is not on Twitter and does not noes wot a #pawpawty is, it is a monthly online pawty to raise money for animal charities. There is a dress code (you can dress up your avatar for the theme of the pawty), there is barktenders, DJs, foods, quiz masters for the kontests to win pawsome pwizes and a sekurity force to keeps spammers away. I is on the sekurity team and yes, sometimes those evil spammers crash our pawties and I has to put the bitey on them. You can pays a voluntary cover charge which is a donation to the charity for which money is being raised. Here is Romeo the Cat's essplanashun of this month's #pawpawty. And it is Frugal Dougal wot is the master of ceremonies and started the #pawpawties. We has even had a story writed about the pawties by People Pets! So we all had lots of laffs and good times and I wanted to share some wild and crazee pawty anipal moments wif you.

And I is also the seamstress, um I means sergeant, on the sekurity force so I does all of the uniforms/badges.

@Emmythecat always makes a beeootiful paws wall of all of the pawtiers after they has changed into their kostooms. They was all so funnee and we had the bestest time kommenting on each udder's groovy threads.

Coz @wildboutbirds had his arm stuck up in the air the whole times, he spent the entire pawty directing kittehs to the litter boxes:



@AylaLab was wonnering what the dawgs is supposed to does about potty so I direkted her to @SylvieDogs blog about this: (is part of my job as sekurity officer to bees helpful)


And of course, there was those wot could not hold their nip and passed out during the pawty.

Paulinskill Valley Trail (Swartswood, NJ to Warbasse Junction, NJ)

Today we did our final full section (#4 on the map) of the Paulinskill Valley Trail, 12.5 miles total (6.25 miles each way). There is only 1 1/2 miles lefted to do but we has to combine that wif part of the Sussex Branch Trail to makes it long enuf for us.



We was a little worried on the way there coz it was very foggy after the rains from tropical storm Danny had passed throo yesterday.


But once we got started on our hikings, the sunbeams camed out and maded the fogs go away. (But not until after mom was hasing a really bad hair day - yikes.)

I has a sekrit to shares wif you. Does you noes where they hides the chilluns' yello skule busses in the summer? I found the hidey spot. There was a gabillion yello skule busses in the woods!


Here we is where the Paulinskill Trail and the Sussex Branch Trail crosses over each udder. I is sitting rite there! (We is working on doing the whole Sussex Branch trail, too, so we will come by here again sumtime.)



Mom ordered me the kewlest water cup from dogtoys.com. I dinnot really like the udder thing we was using for waters but I like this and I dranked lots from it. When I is done, it goes flat like magic and slides rite into mom's fanny pack. We gotted the little 1 cup size coz I just needed it for quick drinks and it needed to be small to carry wif us. It is perfekt.



There was no waters for me to do swimmings in this time but we did find a really kewl waterfalls.


This is litter wot I founded on the trail and picked up in my poop bag. Not only did I picks it up, I tooked it home and putted it in our resikling. Even tho mom always has a poop bag just in case, we has never needed to use it coz I donnot do poos anywhere udder than my own yard. I donnot litter. So we used my bag to carry the litters in. Please do not bees a litter bug and makes me has to kleen up the messes wot makes our natures ugly.

Delaware & Raritan Canal State Park, NJ (New Brunswick - South Bound Brook)

Today we did the hiking wot is in lite bloo on the map for a total of 11 miles. (The udder colors is wot we has already done.)


We hasn't been to the D&R Canal State Park in a while but we figured we had better stay as close as possible to home today. It looked like rains when we left and the weather.com peeples said we was supposed to has this kind of wevver:


But we was luckee and only had a few drops of rains. Not like I cared coz I planned on doing swimming and getting my furs wet anyways.

So when we gotted to the hikings, we first had to go over a bridge from where we parked the car. It was a very old bridge, or well, it used to be. The sign sayed it was builded in 1895 but then it broked and the peeples could not fix it no mores so with the old parts they builded the new bridge in 1991/1992.


Here I is going over the bridge. Hai!


We didn't see mile markings on the D&R Canal towpath afore, but this time we seened some. We think it is how many miles to the end of the canal towpath in Trenton and coming back the other way the number was different coz it was how many miles left to the other end where we started. Mile number 38 wif 6 on the other side is missing :(. We looked all over and could not find it. Mebbe they needed to use it to build that bridge.


Mom and I was very sad to see so much litter and grafitti on this part of the trail. Why does bad peeples has to do that?


But there was still some pritty parts.
