I Have a Drinking Problem #ChewyInfluencer

But wait, it is not what you might think.  My drinking problem is that I refuse to drink water on hikes.  The good news is I have no interest in drinking out of creeks and ponds where you can pick up all kinds of (ewwwwwww) nasty cooties.  But mom says an athletic dog has to stay hydrated and that means she wants me to drink on hiking breaks.  No thank you.
Hey, what is this sent me free of charge in exchange for my honest opinion (and Al's honest opinion, too)?  It is The Honest Kitchen Bone Broth and it comes in different flavors.  I requested beef.
Open it up!!!!!!!!!!
OK, so you need to mix it with water.  I tasted but there is no bone broth in there yet.
You have to nuke the water then stir in the powder. I snoopervised.
OK, I kind of jumped up and tried to taste some of that powder, too.  And I got caught.  Bummer.
Is it ready yet?  A dog could die of thirst here.
Mom even got out the good dog China for this.  Let's taste this stuff!

I would say this was a HUGE hit with both me and Al.
Look at all the good for you stuff in here.
Mom is mixing up some more.  It does stay a little chunky (the container says that's OK and I don't mind) but ...
... if you put in in your hiking hydration bottle ....
... and shake up up ...
... those clumps go away.
So let's take this on the road for the true test.  Will I drink it on my hiking break?
So here is my hiking bottle that mom kept in the fridge overnight with that yummy bone broth all mixed up.
So delish.
Wait Al, I'm still drinking.
OMD, that was so good.
Fine Al, you can have a turn but don't drink the rest of it.  We have more breaks to take.
Good thing Al is my buddy.
OMD, mom saved some for the end of the hike!
This is a winner!  I no longer have a hiking drinking problem.

Thursday, December 14, 2017 Review - Home Goods! #ChewyInfluencer

Did you all know that now carries a pawsome assortment of HOME GOODS?  Check it out because there is lots of howliday giving stuff there and with their speedy fast shipping, there is still time to order those last minute gifts. asked if I would like to review one of their new home goods items that they would send to me free of charge in exchange for my honest opinion.  Seriously friends, it was sooooo hard to choose.  So being the practical dog that I am ....

Try to find a leash in this messy bin when it is time for our walkies.
Seriously, we get all cracker crazy waiting while the mom digs through this tangled mass of collars and leashes.
We had this blank wall behind the escape hatch front door just begging for organization oppawtunities.
So we decided on this nifty SportHooks "Woof" Dog Leash & Key Holder.
Here is the description:
Keep things tidy without compromising your wagtastic style with the SportHooks "Woof" Dog Leash & Key Holder. Made out of high-quality powder coated steel, it’s the perfect home d├ęcor piece to keep your keys, leash, harnesses, and all your gear neatly in one place. Perfect for indoor or outdoor use, it’s beautifully made with an intricate doggy bone and paw print design and versatile hooks that are broad enough to even hang towels or hats. Easy to install, it comes ready for mounting with the included screws. Plus, it’s made in the USA and comes in two sizes so you can choose the one that suits your home.

There are also other lots of other designs to choose from!

One problem - it comes with two woods screws and to hang it inside you have to have anchors so mom went digging in the basement and found some that worked.
After using the leash holder as a template to mark and make holes in the walls (and don't you know I would be in sooooo much trouble if I marked and made holes in the walls, just sayin') and hammering in the anchors ...
Ta da!  Oh wait ...
There that's better, leashes, poop bags, everything we need all neat and handy for when it is walkies time so we can just saddle up and fly out of that escape hatch front door.
And look how much visitors like it.  They are all like "WOW!"
So there you have it, this leash holder will work great for us.  It would have been better had it come with anchors and drywall screws instead of just wood screws.  So go finish your howliday people shopping now over at

Chewy Review - Greenies Pumpkin Spice Dental Treats #chewyinfluencer

I think I am a little late with this review - this product is seasonal and well, the pumpkin season is about over.  But I wanted to do a thorough cross-country review and it took some time. sent me these free of charge in exchange for my honest opinion.

Give your dog the mouth-wowing treat that boosts dental health with the Greenies Pumpkin Spice Flavor Dental Dog Treats. Plus, they’re accepted by the Veterinary Oral Health Council and proudly made in Kansas City since 1996.
For my road trip mom packed an assortment of chewables for me because, you see, I have a chewing problem.  (My hiking harness, a plugged in heating pad, mom's bras....)  In our motel room mom let me decide what I wanted to gnaw on and what do you think I chose?
Oh yummers, a Greenies Pumpkin Spice.
It was so delish and provided for nice relaxation in the motel room. I finished it off.
I got more at grandma's house, on the off chance I had a hankering to gnaw on any of grandma's things.  OK, the plants maybe but the Greenies are WAY better.  Trust me on this.
I'll take this over grandma's Wandering Jew any day.
Then there was more for when I came back home.
Nothing like a Greenie in the comfort of my own bed.
Complete with drool.  4 paws up for Greenies Pumpkin Spice!

My First Road Trip

I went on my first cross country adventure to grandma's house.
I hiked where the stars are.  Six hikes in 5 states for a total of 36.3 miles!  Oh, the sniffs I sniffed.
I'll give you all a snapshot of each of the hikes.
We drove in the car about 5 hours and it rained and rained and rained until we got to the hike and the sun came out!
After spending the night in a motel we drove in the car and stopped here for a hike before going on to grandma's house in St. Louis.
Now THIS is a vacay at grandma's house.  I was chillin' in the sunbeams.
More hiking with mom.
And then a hike with grandma!
Heading back home a hike before staying in the same motel again.
The next day one more hike, then all the way back home.
