Hiking to the End of the World

Seriously, see...
Here I go to the end of the world.
Checking some pee-mail along the way.
This must be it becoz the sign behind me do say...
This be wot it looks like before you fall off the end of the world at the Worlds End Vista seenik.
Again I could not wear my Shawnee Cam (I did a little at the end) coz there was lots of fur cooling oppawtoonities.
And lots of falling waters.
More falling waters.
Falling water overload.
Then we commed up to anudder seenik.
And a Rawk Garden.
Ummmm.  No.  I is not going up there.  Take me the other way, mom.
Much better, thank you.
We could use this when we get stuck in rain but no rains today.
More fur cooling.
And a nap.
Mom and I (yes, mom, too) took a nap in the car before tackling this trail.  We needed to be in tip top shape!
The trail starts all easy peasy.
Then goes straight up steep rawks all the way to the top.  Here I is waiting on slow poke mom.  She still be climbing up.  Here she comes.  Any minit now.
Here do be the seenik at the top of the rawk climb.
Seenik from the Shawnee Cam
This be the seenik.
The trail down off the mountain woz easier.
Then we commed to the road.
Me and mom on the road.
As we woz walking back to our car, that snazzy blue car pulled in.
The Shawnee Cam found the hikemobile!

  7. I is confused... when they mean behind the sign isn't that the side that the cliff is on? I means if i is reading the sign i would have to walks around to be BEHIND it, right? Dat sign is messing with my mentals.

  8. Nice hike, but we are so glad you really didn't get to the end of the world:) We think that sign should say to stay in front of it not behind it.

Good decision about not climbing those steep rocks - yikes, how could you ever do that!

You and Mom have such fun together - we love following along.

  11. Hi Shawnee! This is a very beautiful Hike, I cant believe that you went all the way to the end of the world! WOW!
I was scared for a moment that you went beyond the "end of the world" sign and thought that you were going to fall down the big mountain but the photo sure is cool, you are so beautiful Shawnee!
Very beautiful scenery here too, I love to walk with my Mum in the Woodlands and this place looks really lovely, I'm glad you got to take a swim in the falling waters and I giggled that you AND your Mom had a sleep before you went on that wonderful rock trail, it looks amazing, love all the rocks and the photos of you on the rocks!
I loved this trip, it looks like you enjoyed it as much as I did - I need a sleep now coz I feel like I've been hiking with you! Love, Licks and Tummy Rubs from your Furiend Frank xxxxxxxxxxxx

  13. Great blog -- just discovered at, after enjoying "Gone Hikin" for such a long time! Love this. Thanks! Can't tell you how much time I've spent with the NYNJTC trail maps spread out in front of me, following your hikes. My dogs (two elderly rescued shepherd types) hike with me every day, but because they are really getting on in years, we can't do anything near the distance we do -- but they love it anyway. Thank you for such a useful and enjoyable contribution to local hiking!! Suzy
